SAFCS, a not-for-profit educational organization, is composed of military and civilian members fostering excellence in surgical care. Our annual symposium brings us together from around the world to experience fellowship, camaraderie and exchange of ideas that is the backbone of the SAFCS. Military and civilian medical experts will present seminars on the unique challenges of military and austere surgical practices, stabilization and transport of critically injured patients and evidence-based management protocols. Our military-focused curriculum will expand upon the excellent progress made at the Denver symposium with planned presentations by the Surgeon General, the Commanders of all the Air Force Medical Centers, as well as the involvement and participation of Air Force Surgical Specialty Consultants. Our future is bright as we continue to expand upon our significant accomplishments, and find new avenues to succeed. The Board of Governors continues to work very hard to make sure that member concerns and observations are brought to the highest level of attention in the Air Force Medical Service.
Approximately 300-350 attendees are expected to participate in the symposium which will cover all aspects of surgery to including specialties: Anesthesia, Cardiothoracic, General, Neurosurgery, Oral & Maxillofacial, Orthopaedic, Otolaryngology, Plastic, Thoracic, Trauma /Critical Care, Urology, and Vascular.

In addition, this year we are designating Sponsoring Levels for contributions above the exhibition fee for better recognition of your company’s contributions:
Silver $1000-3000
Gold $3000-5000
Platinum $5000 and above
A portion of these funds will be designated for a new initiative of the SAFCS to support basic science and clinical research endeavors to advance military medicine. In addition to formal recognition of your contribution, your company will be presented a plaque honoring your dedication.

The Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons is a not-for-profit organization that is registered in the State of California. Our Federal Taxpayer Identification Number is 23-7062361. The SAFCS is currently in the process of converting from a 501(c)( 6) organization to a 501(c)(3) organization, which under provision 26 U.S.C. § 170, may provide a deduction, for federal income tax purposes, for charitable contributions.
