Lt Gen (ret) Myers presiding -- A bit of history comes with Lt Gen Myers. He has been a member of the SAFCS for over 48 years and has presided over the banquet for at least 25 of those years. Many thanks to Gen Myers, who began as a country doctor and then spent a lifetime as a doctor for his country. After the rural practice, came a career in neurological surgery followed by health leadership positions, culminating in being on the Air Staff as Surgeon General. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting him, you are missing out on an opportunity of a lifetime.
