The Excalibur Award is presented each year at the Annual meeting to an outstanding active duty member of the Society of Air Force Clinical Surgeons who, as judged by his/her peers, has made significant contributions to academic or clinical Air Force Surgery and exemplifies the highest dedication, professional competence, character and vision of a career Air Force Officer.
The Excalibur Award and Plaque is permanently mounted in the lobby of Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center; a replica of the award is presented each year to the winner.
The Award and the first 25 presentation replicas are a contribution of the late
Mr. N. Nash, President of Automated Medical Products Corporation.
